1.1-RC5 built for testing

Jan 20, 2010 at 2:17 PM
Hi,

With thanks to Joe who worked with me all day to rebuild the repository and CI machine, I've now been able to run an end to end release, which is built here:
http://repo.npanday.org/archiva/repository/npanday-releases/npanday/npanday-repository-builder/1.1-RC5/
(from tag: https://npanday.svn.codeplex.com/svn/releases/npanday-project-1.1-RC5)

Unfortunately, release preparation is problematic due to the unique nature of the build (using plugins it needs to build itself). I have a locally patched copy of the release plugin that I can use for this release and will get the problem resolved for the next one. Continuum will need to be fixed if we are to use that for the preparation. However, I was able to successfully use Continuum for the actual release perform step from the tag.

Please test the RC to confirm everything is in order so we can proceed with the 1.1 release.

Thanks,
Brett

Hi,

Did some testing and found that the NUnit in the gac_msil was not resolved and installed, during mvn clean install from the root,

Removing the <scope>test</scope> from NPanday.Artifact and NPanday.ProjectImporter will install the NUnit in the gac_msil dir

Thank you Brett for working in creating the new release process. Hopefully with this releases will be smoother.

Also verified the fixes for the release notes on 1.1.

Cheers,

Joe

I've tagged the release and pushed the binaries to repo.npanday.org, and committed the documentation to SVN.

We should work to get all this up on the site tomorrow or early next week.

I updated the 1.1 Release page with the released files:  http://npanday.codeplex.com/Release/ProjectReleases.aspx?ReleaseId=31843

Before it goes live, it needs a link to documentation.  I looked here:  http://www.npanday.org/docs/1.1 but didn't see it.
