How to Debug NPanday code:

1.First get source code from community.
*you need to have VS2005 installed to edit the code. and the NPanday AddIn to be installed to trace the code.

2.open solution file: trunk\\assemblies\NPanday\NPanday.sln. You may need to choose 'Load project normally' in a warning dialog.

3.Build the whole solution using the normal Visual Studio build solution command.

4.Open the file using a text editor(notepad will do): "My Documents\Visual Studio 2005\Addins\NPanday.VisualStudio.AddIn". just change 2005 to 2008 if you want to debug VS2008.

5.change the value of the >Extensibility>AddIn->Assembly to the target folder of the "trunk\assemblies\NPanday.VisualStudio.Addin\target\NPanday.VisualStudio.Addin.dll" use full path. c:\....\trunk\assemblies\....

6. then in VS2005. in the NPanday.sln. Right click on the NPanday.VisualStudio.Addin. Set it to be the Start up project of the solution.

7. right click on NPanday.VisualStudio.Addin again and select "Properties"

8. a window will come out. go to the Debug tab. Select Action groupbox. select "Start External Program" and locat the devenv.exe of the VisualStudio you want to debug.
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\Common7\IDE\devenv.exe or C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8.0\Common7\IDE\devenv.exe

9. You can now set any breakpoint on the project.

NOTE: Connect.cs is the main class of the AddIn.
